Mission

CoCreate Makerspace is a community space for creative, practical, and responsible making. Members will discover diverse methods of creation, build relevant skills and understand the technological environment that surrounds us.

A core group started planning the idea of a makerspace while the school was in its previous location, and upon moving to our current address in March 2022 (310 Marlboro St, Keene) we have assembled a committee of interested stakeholders (which we refer to as “the Plank”), comprising faculty, staff, local business folk including the owner of our building, and students. We have been meeting to develop a mission and the steps we are looking to follow in achieving our goal of creating a makerspace for the greater Keene area that will be available both to students and members of the community. We also plan on forging connections with other makers in the region, working towards greater collaboration among makers.
