Yes, it’s completely free. As a chartered public school, MC2 is funded by the State of New Hampshire and the federal government. There are no tuition, application fees, or hidden costs for New Hampshire residents.

How does graduation work? Is it like traditional high school?
MC2 uses a 4-phase structure similar to the four grades in a traditional high school, but phases aren’t tied to time. Students move forward when they’ve mastered the material, not when a year ends. Some students complete all four phases in less than four years. Others take a bit longer. The timeline fits the student.
Can MC2 students go to college?
Of course! MC2 graduates have been accepted to both public and private colleges. MC2 works directly with college admissions offices to communicate student accomplishments on transcripts. Many students also leave with real-world work experience that puts them ahead from the start.
Can my student still participate in sports and extracurriculars?
Absolutely. MC2 students can participate in extracurricular activities at their sending high school, including sports, subject to each activity’s eligibility requirements.
Can my student transfer in mid-year or from a traditional school?
Transferring to MC2 is possible and generally easier the earlier it happens. Because the MC2 model is quite different from traditional school, our admissions team walks every family through what the transition looks like, so everyone goes in with a clear picture.
Where is MC2 located?
MC2 is at 310 Marlboro Street, Suite 115, in Keene, NH. We serve families within approximately 25 miles of Keene. Please note: MC2 does not provide transportation, so families arrange their own.
What grades does MC2 serve?
MC2 currently serves students in grades 9–12. Starting July 20, 2026, MC2 will also welcome 8th graders, giving families a new option for a seamless entry into a student-centered high school program.
